About shersash

shersash is an independent publication covering two things at once: what’s going wrong in public life, and the real progress being made on it. Most news does the first and skips the second. We try to do both, in plain language, a few times a week.

How it works

Every piece starts from what can be shown — documents, records, and named facts — and keeps reporting separate from analysis. Good news is held to the same standard as hard news: it runs only when it’s verifiable. The full commitments are on the editorial standards page.

Independent

shersash isn’t affiliated with any outlet, party, company, or campaign. There’s no advertising and no paywall, and nothing outside the publication decides what runs.
